GRINDHOUSE at the BRIDGE THEATRE

I've been working hard with the kind folks over at the Bridge Theatre (home to Midnight Mass) on some special stuff for their opening of GRINDHOUSE on April 6th and it's going to be fantastic! The Bridge is pulling out all the stops for this one and the theatre promises to host the most thrilling run of this film in all of Northern California if not the country. Face it- seeing the movie GRINDHOUSE at a multiplex is just plain wrong. Wrong! See it where it's meant to be seen- at San Francisco's very own Bridge Theatre, proud screener of vintage celluloid sleaze for over a decade now.

WOMEN IN CAGES (1971)
Carol Jeffries (known as 'Jeff') is a naive American woman staying in the Phillipines. She is given ten years in prison after being set up by her drug-dealer boyfriend, Rudy. She endures the harsh conditions, sadistic head matron and attempts on her life, then convinces her cell-mates to try to escape with her through the jungle, in spite of the knowledge that ruthless trackers will be sent out after them



GINGER (1971)
The police suspect that a drug and forced-prostitution ring is behind the recent spate of kidnappings and disappearances, but so far they've been unable to infiltrate the suspects gang. To break the case, they recruit Ginger, a young woman from an upper-class family to act as bait for the kidnappers and hopefully lead the police to their hideout. It may sound like a foolproof plan to the police, but Ginger's the one who has to risk it all.



DESPERATE LIVING (1977)
A rich housewife murders her husband with the help of her overweight maid, and the two go on the run, ending up in Mortville, a town providing refuge for criminals. They shack up with a lesbian ex-wrestler and her murderess lover, before running into the tyrannical Queen Carlotta, ruler of Mortville.
