more green magic

In my last post , I had just shifted onto a high-raw diet featuring green smoothies, a ton of greens and veggies during the day, raw snacks, and one healthy cooked meal per day. I have been pretty much staying with this and trying out cool new combos of colorful foods as well as cool dehydrator treats to make foods that are so yummy that it is easy to stay with this! If it is appropriate, I will go to fully raw, but I am not forcing things at this time. This has been awesome, and I am learning new things all the time with the implications of this kind of shift. Been going through a bit of detox and learning experiences, while keeping up a good fitness program, as even this level of raw food is by its very nature very cleansing. It is taking some tweaking of types of foods as to be able to fuel workouts and have a good energy level for same. So far most days that is pretty good, as I am doing more of high-greens, somewhat denser food eating pattern, with some fruits, in order to support weight-training etc. I've gotten lots of good support from online raw food groups too. There's help out there, no matter what you want to do! Recently I had the pleasure here of attending two talks by Viktoras Kulvinskas, the father of the raw food movement, and he was just amazing! A true visionary, and his material is a perfect blend of impassioned mysticism and science that backs him up on all this. I came away with so much new stuff to digest and to inform me of my next refinements on this journey. A dear friend of mine and I are sharing our thoughts about this as well which is great for mutual support. I am finding that I am becoming even more sensitive and also get even greater joy in natural connections. When I see vegetation of any sort now, I feel an even greater connection than ever before, and those finer vibrations are beginning to come through. Ultimately, it is those finer vibrations that I am interested in, as that is the area that informs my art. Recently I had a computer crash and lost some newer digital work but have caught up on that now. Am also nearly finished with one of my larger watercolor paintings, so it's all good!
On my dear friend's recommendation, I am currently reading Yogananda's book, "Autobiography of a Yogi" which seems to be really appropriate right now. This is the first of a few other books that I have full intentions of reading as well as i'm an avid reader of good material!

New photos!

Just put up some new photos of fun stuff, including some at the very cool LoveFest 2007 in SF, and others.
Seems to be a time of renewal, after taking some time off from electronic endeavors.
As part of my health renewal program after the winter, I have effortlessly gotten into a groove of a high-raw
eating pattern, featuring green smoothies daily, another raw meal and snacks, and one healthy cooked meal.
I'm loving this, and my energy level improved within only two days on this. I've been doing this for almost a month
now, and it feels so right and good too! I have reconnected with a dear old friend from many years ago and we have
so-o many commonalities. She is interested in health renewal too, as she has been through challenging times!

Reconnections!

After rather an introspective winter featuring two bouts of cold and flu, plus an aggravated back injury, I am thankful to say that I am back in the saddle, with a renewed commitment to good health practices and my fitness routine. Have taken up the magical green smoothies, and my "green burritos" as part of my transition to more a high-raw diet. It feels right, beautiful, and my energy level is really amped up by all those fruits and dark greens! Loving it - it's a wonderful reconnection! I am looking forward to this journey.
On the friends front, one of mine from New Mexico just moved to Santa Cruz, and the other one I got reconnected with after decades of no contact(she lives in Florida)and it is as though we had never left off.
Reconnections - Yes! Recently on the web I saw something about this time when for many people, members of their soul group would start showing up, for reconnection, whether it be old friends, or someone new in the circle!

Keeping the gratitude quiet and simple!

We have much to be thankful for considering what's going on on the planet
where people either don't have anything, or are in the midst of warfare, etc.!
In contrast to the madness that was going on with pre-thanksgiving food
shopping, preparations, etc. my husband and I are basically blowing off the
holiday, and keeping it quiet and simple. Likely we'll go out to the beach or
something, as a bunch of beaches around here have been re-opened.
It will be good to connect with nature on the edge of the Pacific. As a kid,
my aunt always told me that going down to the beach for a walk was good
for just about whatever was on one's mind. Usually one either feels better,
or gets somewhat of a new lease on it anyway. Ocean water is very special
to me as a Pisces-rising. For me it is still like visiting the river Ganges to go
downto the water's edge, bathe my feet, and walk in wet sand, it is that sacred
to me. When we lived out in land-locked New Mexico, when we came back to
SF to visit, we would always go out to the beach, and once again I would feel
in my element! Although being in New Mexico was an amazing experience in
itself, I'm very thankful we are living here once again! I

first post on Tribe blog!

I've just joined up with Tribes recently, and am loving the diversity!
So many interesting, talented, and conscious people here! I'm here
in San Francisco.
I'm almost finished with a larger watercolor that I'll put up a photo of
soon here.
Yesterday my husband and I went out for our trip to the Golden Gate
Park to hang out by the Sunday drumming circle by Hippie Hill. This
is always a great gathering. We have one friend who is actually in it,
and a couple of other friends who also hang out there. A wise intuitive
recently told me that this is a good thing for me personally to do, as it
is very earthbound and the frequencies raised by the drumming
keep the negativity out. Something we all need to do in these times!
