I live many paradoxes. I live on 9 acres creating an intentional community with other families. I also am a professional contract lobbyist and political operative. I work for a mixture of corporate, small business, political, and environmental interests. I am a volunteer global warming activist and dedicated father and husband. I grew up in a very small town and now live outside an even smaller one where we are beginning to farm. I also travel frequently wearing suits and playing politics as my source of income. I love the work and am looking for a way to combine this with income from farming and small business to have a better balance in my life.
I come from the Libertarian arm of the Democratic Party, meaning that I am a fairly anti-authoritarian liberal. I would probably be a Libertarian except that I believe in strong regulation of big business to protect human rights and the environment. I am exceptionally opinionated, but always researching and open to new information for a wiser perspective. When evidence seriously outweighs belief systems, I will usually suck it up and, (gasp), change.
I have a very deep relationship with the creator/spirit and do a lot of praying and magickal work. My whole life is centered around community and spirit.
