Me? I'm Matt. 27. Live in Oakland. Made it almost 3 years in San Diego. Grew up in Seattle (well, the suburbs of Woodinville, technically). I really like the San Francisco Bay area, despite somehow always finding my way out of town.

I'm vegan, which is like a vegetarian but far more exciting. I'm not straight-edge (despite having played one in a movie once. I'm god free, which is a topic I waver on often. Not that I waver on believing in nonsense - but I waver on just how intensely I oppose organized religion. I've got a passion for social justice, environmental sustainability, radical and revolutionary politics. Anarchist values while not usually down with the anarchist (or activist) ghetto. Resisting "Growing Up" as best I can - you know, trying to cling like hell to your radical anarcho-punk rock dumpster-diving roots while thinking more and more about things like savings accounts, getting health insurance, dreaming of owning your own home, building your resume, and staying home on Friday nights. Ok, maybe you don't know.....

I sort of (well, at least used to) play drums and guitar in a few punk and hardcore bands over the years. I twist knobs and push faders for a wage (I primarily work as a live sound engineer), tour with a bunch of bands doing sound/tour management, used to run a radical book distribution project, work on various environmental and social justice issues, listen to thought-provoking music of most any genre, and try to make intelligent, sincere conversation.

I like to go to the dog park even though I don't have a dog. I can hold my own in a scrabble game. I'll talk you under the table on revolutionary political or economic theory (under the table in a figurative, non-hierarchical community-building sort of way). I fully recognize that I spend too much time in front of my computer - yet here I am. I wish I played soccer more. I like to ride my bike more than I like driving my car. I like the outdoors, but I'm still amazed by the city. I can drink Jameson like a true Irishwoman. I get lonely easily, despite living with 8 people and leading a pretty busy life. And I think I'm a pretty nice dude. (dude in a non-Dude sort of way)

Oh yeah - Taurus, 6', 185 lbs, blue/green eyes, bald(ing?). Size 11 shoe. Little fashion sense, happily oblivious to most things pop culture, no piercings, a couple tattoos. Strangers usually think I'm gay, but maybe just haven't found the right boy yet. Don't worry, the cops already got all this info long ago....
