Missing someone is a vague, unpleasant sensation, like gnawing anxiety. It isn't as concrete as grief, but it's just as pervasive and there's no escaping it.

To sum it up...it sucks.

Just back from an amazing weekend at SOAK. This was my first SOAK, but I had been curious about burning man for a few years, thanks to my wonderful friend Anne. Deep down I knew this was going to be a good experience for me, and I am happy to report I was right. The other folks there were so open, accepting, and non-judgmental. We didn't know anyone there when the weekend started, but we were welcomed by our neighbors. They made us feel like we belonged. I realize you probably won't read this, but thanks to Erin, Dan, Fallah, and Alan for helping to make this a great event for us and many others!
