Candace is an amazing friend and a wonderful person. She is the single most important friend I have made in Sacramento,CA. I met her at a weird play that she posted to see and me and a date went there. That was probably the singlemost springboarding event of my life in Sacramento. Since then I have done so many wonderful things with her including Burning Man and Rainbow gathering. I like her company and her can do attitude . I wish her and Dr.Dave the best in life. LOVE YOU Candace !!!!

Amongst being one of my favorite people, Candace is and amazing individual that always interests me to be around. She has a great since of adventure and fun and spreads passion every here she goes. She is hot, smart, great to dance with, excellent conversationalist, a remarkable cook, has magnificent taste in alcohol, profound burner and just plan’o good people! She is truly a one of a kind gem in the world that I am exceedingly happy to know. I just can't seem to get enough of her company! She’s also a terrific Karma Chicken!

Candace is one awesome individual. I know her from NorWesCon in Seattle, and a couple of other overlaps in our areas of interests. Just being close enough to be able to hang out with her more often is almost enough to get me to want to move back to California, even with the taxes and deficits. If you are fortunate enough to be counted as one of her friends, you are fortunate indeed.

The historic Buck Rock Lookout in Sequoia NF dates back to the 1930's.
This summer, it is being refurbished in an impressive coordination of volunteer organization effort.
Structurally, it's okay up in the lookout, itself. Some of the wooden beams of the stairs up the rock are slated to be replaced, however.
The lookout is supposed to get some Tyvek lining, some insulation, and possibly some re-roofing work.

The Sacramento Decompression event was held at the Rio Ramaza campground last Saturday night.
It was a new site for a Burner event.
The weather was damp: rain off and on, with a bit of wind throughout he night.
BUT: it was a success! The decomp brought a little of the Playa to the Sacramento Valley. There were a lot of theme camps (~15) that came and set up interactive art, classes, workshops, and demos in the course of the event.

I love the outdoors. I started out car camping at SCA events. Later on, I learned from CHAOS friends how to backpack and how to do it in style with excellent food, refreshing dips in crisp alpine lakes, and baking myself on sun-warmed granite.
