My Testimonials

July 14, 2004
Candace is an amazing friend and a wonderful person. She is the single most important friend I have made in Sacramento,CA. I met her at a weird play that she posted to see and me and a date went there. That was probably the singlemost springboarding event of my life in Sacramento. Since then I have done so many wonderful things with her including Burning Man and Rainbow gathering. I like her company and her can do attitude . I wish her and Dr.Dave the best in life. LOVE YOU Candace !!!!

Amongst being one of my favorite people, Candace is and amazing individual that always interests me to be around. She has a great since of adventure and fun and spreads passion every here she goes. She is hot, smart, great to dance with, excellent conversationalist, a remarkable cook, has magnificent taste in alcohol, profound burner and just plan’o good people! She is truly a one of a kind gem in the world that I am exceedingly happy to know. I just can't seem to get enough of her company! She’s also a terrific Karma Chicken!

Candace is one awesome individual. I know her from NorWesCon in Seattle, and a couple of other overlaps in our areas of interests. Just being close enough to be able to hang out with her more often is almost enough to get me to want to move back to California, even with the taxes and deficits. If you are fortunate enough to be counted as one of her friends, you are fortunate indeed.

Dave and I went to the city in search of clean, cool air last weekend. The smoke from the Butte County fire was making the air quality downright unhealthy last week!

We decided to visit friends in the city by the bay and partake of some of San Francisco's offerings.

We went on an 8-mile urban hike with Paola, a friend, and hoofed it up to Sutro Tower for a nice view of the city. We were surprised to see lots of poison oak growing nearby...whole bushes of the stuff. We then hiked dow... read more

I've just returned from a week of doing trailwork in the Ansel Adams Wilderness.

It was a week of camping above 9000' elevation and seeing clear skies full of stars every night!

Mostly, this was a "rock trip" where we did lots of stonework: building/repairing waterbars in the trail and adding steps where they are needed. I enjoy that I know how to use rockbars to move large, heavy stones from dozens of feet away and "shepherd" them into place in the tread and track of trail.

Plus... read more

Interesting thread of discussion here.

I don't know that I'd ~want~ to use an outside application the access info to my Yahoo and Google groups.

If you're the admin for any of the discussion groups on Google or Yahoo!, please read and think about what possible security holes you'd be opening up by enrolling in "Grouply".

Dave and I were up camping with friends in the Sierras this weekend. On Sunday, we went horse riding at a working ranch near Quincy. We saw the twin fire plumes near Sloat not far away.

In the span of a couple of hours, the two medium-sized plumes grew very large.

People living in the area nearby were starting to load their cars and trucks in preparation for an evacuation.

When we were getting ready to go out on the ride, the woman at the desk told us that they were the evacuation ... read more
