I'm a trained jeweller and currently tin the final year of another degree at U of Hertfordshire in Model Design & SFX. My interest in this field is somewhere in that grey area between costume and props. I've worked on Harry Potter, Casanovas Love Letters and more recently making armour and props for Lord of the Rings stage show in London. I also have an interest in sustainable design and have recently been designing lights with low energy LED's and re-used materials.

I absolutely love belly dancing, although with the pressures of uni work and family recently, I have not been able to keep up with it as much as I'd like. I saw Suraiya Hilal dance several years ago and knew I had to learn one day. In 2005 I started classes in oriental/cabaret style and have also done classes/workshops in Raqs Sharqi, Courtly Classical, Ghawazee. More recently I have fallen in love with tribal bellydance and really want to move in that direction except for the lack of local classes.
