Aries/Four (March 22, March 31, April 4, April 13)
Purpose : To be secure enough with your individuality that you can position yourself between two points of view and not lose sight of your truth ; to manifest that truth in a world divided by conflict --- a world that offers you both support and open hostility.
" The reasonable man adapts himself to the world ; the unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man " - George Bernard Shaw
The Aries/Four is different, and everyone knows it. In fact, they are catalysts, people that affect the lives of others in a profound way. Their energy is explosive. The Aries/Four needs to remember that self-control comes from inner discipline. If they can't confront what's really bothering them, anger and frustration will build and it won't take much to set them off. Their challenge is to keep a clean inner house so they don't explode at the wrong time, at the wrong person, and over the wrong issue. They are attracted to tension, dispute, and the feeling of being pulled apart. The tug of war between two worlds, two religions, two strong people gets them going. The Aries/Four needs to learn to live in someone's world, but not lose sight of their own. Friends are important to them and are from all different walks of life. Eclectic in the way they dress, their love of change often prevents commitments or stability. Living on the earth plane is a challenge. They're inventors, rebels, geniuses and instigators. They move suddenly, their reaction time is remarkable, but they are also accident prone. Driven and inspired, others have trouble keeping up their pace. They are either undercover or demanding maximum attention. Until they learn to accept themselves, identity can be a crisis.
Uranus rules the individual. It represents how you have uniquely put together your experiences, your beliefs and your feelings. When couples with Mars, the world either admires the Aries/Four uniqueness or turns its back and runs. In the worlds of Emerson " Whoso would be a man must be a nonconformist". But if the Aries/Four has troubles fitting in they need to review what is causing their difficulties. Their style is not gentle or flexible, but shocking and if so what they have to offer is also difficult to digest , they may find themselves alone.
IF SPIRIT TAKES THE LEAD : When spirit is strong, these unique souls are off fighting for the rights of others. They value freedom above all things, and they will give their life to an idealistic cause. They make great terrorists, freedom-fighters and activists. They are attracted to conflict and make great negotiators because they're used to being in the center of tension. This is dangerous, for without an earhtly ego , the Aries/Four will take the brunt of everyone's anger. They need to focus on their own needs, and realize not all battles are worthy of being fought. As a child, they either recieved their sense of self through creativity or they found themselves an island in the midst of hostility. By diffusing tension, they felt impowered, and this became their identity. The results are constant crisis, unless they can learn to recieve their identity through new endeavors. They sould pick one and go for it.
IF EGO TAKES THE LEAD : Stubborn is an understatement here. These souls won't listen to anyone but themselves. They think the worst of others --- see them as manipulative and unyielding --- and yet they seldom realize how their own behavior contributes to their tough life. They're loners, selfish and obsessive. Because they don't respect the ideas and differences of others, they often find themselves on the outside. They pretend to ignore society but what they want most is to fit in. If only they could learn to compromise, they would find life more accepting. They are driven to get attention, but the world seldom responds, even when they're gifted with genius. This superior insight or knowledge contributes to their separateness and gives them permission to tell everyone else what to do. Locked in their own world, they can become abusive and experience fits of explosive anger.
