Tribal Fest 8
Was such an amazing experience. Thank you to Sashi, Tempest, Asharah, Maduro, Aradia, Fajira, Anaid, Artemis Mourat, Lee Ali and so many more for making this exactly what I needed. I appreciate all of the support and encouragement all of you have given to me to continue on the path that I am on. I now know that what I am and what I do will get me far. I can't wait to see you all again and experience so much joy. It has meant the world to me.I would also like to extend a special thanks to Hahbi Ru for their extraordinary performance and exposing someone like myself to the joys of Tribal Bellydance. It has shown me what it really is.
Burlesque Performance
I have been working really hard on putting together some great performances. I would love to see you there.Announcing the debut of................
Siren St.SinThe debut of my burlesque performance will be May 10th at Soho Cocktail lounge in downtown El Paso.
Stay tuned for more details.
When is it okay?
Being a dancer and choreographer I have learned to keep myself humble. I always am aware there are those out there that are bigger and better then I am. There will ALWAYS be somebody bigger and better then I am. I love that. It makes me strive to be better. It makes me challenge myself. BUT, I believe my humbleness has become self doubt. I know I have done some great things and that I am a good dancer, not great but i'm alright. I could be better.I read a lot of other blogs and posts both on Tribe and on myspace. I see dancers congratulating themselves which i think is amazing. And I admire that. Everytime I go to post something about myself and a great thing that happens I stop myself short and remind myself that it may be taken as bragging and remember to stay humble. And after so much of this it has gotten me thinking the past couple of days, "when is it okay to congratulate yourself?"
Is it uncooth to mention a fabulous opportunity? Is it overt bragging when you post it online? When should you keep quiet and stay humble and when is it really alright to pat your own back?
I would love to know others opinions on this.
what i have been meaning to say is................
is add this page. Keep up with the latest goings on with Enchanted Darknesstribes.tribe.net/enchanteddarkness
A lot of people have been asking me "what exactly is this event?"
well let me answer this now. Enchanted Darkness is the largest event of its kind in the southwest. It is a gothic/industrial/experimental dance festival that's aim is to showcase the talents of progressive artists from all over mexico and the united states and beyond. This is the second year of this amazing festival. We will showcase the Amazing Ariellah, and the Stunning Sashi as well as Marjhani, Saz'hrah and so much more.
There will be vendors from california and locally. You can even get CUSTOM FANGS!! There will be a full dinner provided at the gala show and kick ass after party.
If you don't know what gothic/industrial or experimental bellydance is then this is your chance to see the best of the best and be enlightened to the beauty and darkness that makes up this enchanting artform.
This years theme is a masquerade and we are highly encouraging the audience to dress up in their finest attire (could be a tux, victorian garb, what ever you like, it is semi-formal) and be prepared to be taken back to the days of venetian masquerades. Even the performers will be incorprating masques in their dances.
So no more talk of how there is nothing here to do. Get dressed up, eat and enjoy a night of dark delights.
see you beauties there and don't forget to add
