San is our Kitchen Queen (at Fall Eq) and makes the most amazing garlic bread in the entire world. She has impressed me with her depth of feeling and understanding - you just know she has gained her wisdom through experience - and she has that sort of strength that you just know she could make it through anything. And besides that she is a whole bunch of fun. She makes magical candles, and taught me how to make them too. Be nice to her and maybe she'll make you her garlic bread.

This woman rocks! Her positive outlook is contagious, and her laugh will brighten the whole room. One of my favorite people to hang out with because we're both two nuts of a kind!

For those who wonder why they aren't hearing anything from me these days, I am working full time, commuting 3 1/2 hours a day during the week and going to school full time. See you in a couple years!

I would like to know four of your favorite or most memorable classic stories from your youth and something that affected you from each one (about the story, a character, the theme, the lesson, etc.). What have you reread (or listened to or watched) time and time again through the years and why?

Yesterday, Ghostie, my elder cat came in with torn eyelid and a puncture wound above his eye. Ghostie thinks he is fast and smart and bad-ass. He's unfortunately wrong on all acounts. I was trying to figure out where to come up with money to take him to the vet and still be able to get the kid's presents. I came up with a couple options, but the Goddess was blessing my kitty and JP won at video poker last night. He came home, pe... read more
