Renaissance event near Sacramento

Hi everyone, just wanted to put the word out about my event The Renaissance Experience which I have created to fulfill the requirements of my senior project. I am still looking for both groups and individuals to participate on the re-enactment side of things so if you are interested please contact me A.S.A.P.
The Renaissance Experience will be taking place on Saturday April 5th 10 am- 5 pm on the Global Youth Charter School campus 3243 Center Court Lane Antelope Ca. 95843. The event is FREE of charge to the public. The goal is to spread an appreciation and knowledge of the renaissance in a hands on fun filled environment.

tick, tick, tick

well the clock is ticking. ive spent 200+ $ on my new nobles so far. my excuse, that im wearing them for my senior ball this year. the theme is masquerade. the only problem is i have to finish them in order to wear them. i have until April 18th. right now i have the under pinnings finished all except the chemise and the kirtle is build and just needs to be embellished. i still have to make the french gown, neck ruff, and i would like to try and have my hat as well... i have a feeling ill be doing a lot of hand sewing on the bus.

Yay! I have a new sewing machiene! A few weeks ago i started working on my Nobles for faire this season, and as my luck would have it my mothers sewing machiene died. Within a day i had done as much hand sewing on my garb as i could. then while i waited for my mom to "find time" to go with me to take the machiene in to get fixed (all the info etc. is under her name) there is my fabric and my half sewn kirtle sitting on the table... every day... i actualy have time to spare for once and i cant work on them. oh, and even though im an intern in the costume shop at the college this semester... gail was on vacation so i couldnt use the shop machienes. Gahh! talk about torture. Yesterday my mom an i FINALLY went to get her machiene fixed and instead i ended up walking out with MY own machiene... Muahaha! i win. :)
