Amaris Ziayanah is the most beautiful among my friends. Every time I receive new pictures from her on my list, it blows me away. Not just the way she looks but everything she expresses. It is sometimes like new worlds opening, of dreams, of fantasies, of womanhood. I love what she expresses, may it go out to the universe and reach other women to inspire them. As dancers and as women and as mothers and as daughters of the Goddess.... Thank you, Amaris.

This is a portion of the presentation I performed for students at an assembly celebrating cultural diversity and interconnectedness at a local middle school. During the performance local drumming virtuoso Greg Lee accompanies me. Together we are spontaneously blending together rhythm and dance from around the world, demonstrating the incredible and beautiful ability of music and movement to transcend the boundaries of language, country, race, and time.
