Just to say thankyou for being such a great teacher and special matey. I love your mad cap ways, your smile and your pride in the group and on top of that I love to watch your grace and skill when you dance. Thanks for being patient when I know you probably want to scream in frustration and know at times you want to gag me in class when I prattle on and disrupt the class but thanks for not doing it!! Thanks for your optimism when you teach us new things and we groan and moan! I may not be the best but I try and hell I enjoy not only the dancing but our social group. I try hard and think I have learnt alot and improved considerably and that is because of you. I would never have thought a few years ago that I would be able to stand up in front of people and dance and enjoy it! So thanks my belly dancing buddy - long may Khalila reign and I am sure we will with you at the helm. xx

Kath, I can't thank you enough for being a beaconfire for my soul. I've had so many hints over the years that I should be doing the bellydance...stupid me has to be 35 before she gets it!! But if not for you and your fantastic group of women, my life wouldn't be near as fun, positive and special as it is now. You have truly made a difference in my life. You da bomb (and you're cute too)!

It took a VERY long time and my fingers and arms are killing me... but he seems to be a happy bunny and hopefully they'll settle down and not freak his teachers out too much when he starts back at school in September!

Loads of terrific classes and Jimboz is an AWESOME dancer and teacher and all round lovely bloke too, I even danced solo in the show, although I was very glad I was on so early as the standard was very high this year and if I had seen the first half I would have probably hidden in a cupboard rather than go on... but really glad I did it, some people told me they found it quite moving which was lovely..(although maybe they were just feeling the fear with with me ;-))

off in a couple of hours for 5 days of nothing but dance... yippee! really looking forward to taking classes with Jimboz and learning another choregraphy from Shona for the student show... still trying to pluck up the courage to put myself down for a solo spot, but always get the jitters when I know EVERYONE in the audience is a dancer! even though they are all lovely and supportive... we'll see.... x

I was a bit nervous about doing Robbies without Sarah last night, it's such great fun when we're there together... Anyway, it was HOT! possibly the warmest night of the year so far, Bill was having a slight moment about watching his wife shaking her stuff in a restaurant ( too good to say so but went very quiet...) and Brian had rebuilt his computer and cheerfully announced that he'd lost the music! ho hum... we found most of the files eventually, and I had a couple of CD's with me luckily......

It didn't rain, Hurrah! (well a teeny bit but no matter!) and not only did I see enough of the Urban Gypsies to become a fan of their extraordinary energy and user friendly way of involving everyone and generating a brilliant atmosphere. but also got a chance to go to great Bhangra workshop with Sohan Kailey (serious competition for Khaled in my darling boys of dance gallery!) apart from the usual minor crisis points ( 'the venue is full, I'm terribly sorry...but I have to go back in I left ...
