...but I'm making a blog post. WoOooo.

Anyway. I'm considering arts colleges. I actually spoke about this today with one of my counselors, who was helpful in ...helping... me outline some of the things to look for when thinking about attending one. I'm glad I took notes (which will not be uploaded here, but). The major consideration that I'm having to deal with is cost. If I go ahead with this, we're going to need to reallocate funds so that I can actually get needed financial aid. This means scholarships, loans, work-study, grants (I wish)...whatever I can do to make sure I can go to this school and stay. And hopefully, not have an overwhelming dent in my pocket when I'm done.

The most recent decision, made without my input, is that if I do go, I have to stay until I complete the degree. Which means, be *very very certain* that I want to be there -- no dropping out in the middle. I've already planned something of my next two semesters out, and am registered for the coming one. I'm guessing that during this time, I'll be doing some more studying on my own, and making sure through courses that Graphic Design is actually what I want to do. There's nothing more inspiring, though, than being invited to firms, where we can see what people who have the training actually do.

The entire prospect is scary. I still can't believe that people get paid to draw. It wasn't scary earlier, though; more, exciting.
