Excerpts, expletives, and explanations
The last few days have been very, VERY, cold here. The tempertature plot on our weather station where I work shows that it got down to -18 F at about 3:30 this morning and was still at -15 F when I got to work at about 7:45. I REALLY hate the cold. It has caused all kinds of havoc with things freezing and then thawing out when the sun hits them. At present, (12:30 p.m.), it is a blistering 18 degrees.

I noticed driving home tonight that the Halloween spirit is just not around this year. There are very few decorations on any of the houses and there are very few reminders anywhere. Although I noticed Wal-Mart has already got Christmas stuff out, YIPPEE...Bullshit....How 'bout we get Thanksgiving over with first AND THEN worry about Christmas.
