What the hell is wrong with people? (again)

Some of the equipment at the Hartland North Elementary School playground was destroyed in a fire over the weekend.
HARTLAND - Some of the equipment at the Hartland North Elementary School playground was destroyed in a fire late Saturday night. The police department is investigating what appears to be a case of arson. In an email to parents, North Elementary principal Pat Thome said the equipment is insured and will be replaced over the summer. Thome wrote, "It's a very sad sight, and I will take time in the morning to use this as a teachable moment with students. "The charred remains will be a reminder to kids every day of what can happen when bad choices are made. "Tomorrow I will stress that you can make two choices when something like this happens: you can feel sorry for yourself or you can learn a lesson and move forward in a positive manner, which is what we'll do." There are still some undamaged sections of the playground including the monkey bars, swings and sandbox.

it would take me too long to tell you what is REALLY wrong with people but here is the short version. people are idiots and when you couple that with meanness its that much worse.

Yeah, what the hell?
That is just disgusting! I don't understand not respecting someone's property. That's exactly why I am probably one of the few out there who had never egged or rolled a house, keyed someone's car, or gone to high school parties where parents' houses got destroyed. These are things of which I am very proud! Granted, I partied my butt off, believe me I did, but I was never physically destructive to peoples' property as any kind of retaliation, revenge, boredom, fun or general drunkenness. I just don't get it!
I'm so glad the playground will be repaired. Although, something like this should never have happened. |

That is sad. I'm hoping it'll get fixed soon and stay in good condition thereafter.

We don't have enough time and I can't type that long - poeple are stupid, mean, and evil - sometimes you have one without the others, sometimes you get all three. That's so mean to do that to a childrens playground....there's a special place for people who do mean things to children.....
