Praying when hope seems dim

David's prayer recorded in this psalm essentially amounts to a simple, "Save me, I'm sinking." It's the cry of a desperate man who can't even think of helping himself. But at least David knew whom he needed to ask for help. Although he was exhausted from crying to the Lord in prayer, he kept on shouting to his God, the only one who could save him.

When waves of adversity threaten to drown you in despair, pray to God. Remember David's persistence, and keep on asking God for help.

Yea, bunny got a great home!!

He's in the Pacific Palisades in a big cage with a plastic igloo and has 2 new rabbit friends. His new mom is a stay-at-home mom so he'll get lots and lots of attention from her and the kids. It's a fab situation and my heart is happy :-)

Do you meditate?

Have you ever entered into a state of meditation? Don't think so or don't know? I want to tell you what my latest experience was like so you may want to try for the first time or again.

Meditation is so amazing. I have only been able to enter a meditative state a few times because it can be difficult to clear your mind, but the last time I did, I had a headache that night and just focused on my breathing for a good 15 minutes perhaps, before it happened, trying to push out thoughts and songs which kept entering my brain.

The way I did it was I layed down on my back, with my hands resting loosely on my stomach. One hand on the upper and one on the lower, that way when I was breathing I would focus on the way my stomach was pushing on my hands. I could do a rythym of upper-lower or both at the same time. It took awhile but you just have to be patient. You'll know without a doubt when it happens. I call it a "snap." And yes, you can still think when you are meditating you don't have to have an empty mind totally, but it's like you're in space and it's totally silent. Your mind stops chattering at you.

Finally it happened, my headache was immediately gone, energy just poured into my body and in such force that I took an uncontrollable inhale. It felt like...love. Pure love. I had pains in my jaw and my knees. I was literally able to direct the energy with my mind to parts of my body that were aching and it was able to enter into those areas and do healing on them. Eventually I just fell asleep.

I hear that if you are able to do it a lot it helps you to focus better during normal hours and keep unwanted thoughts out. There is no experience like it. I believe that it's the closest you'll ever get to experiencing the love that you feel when you die.

This will show you how to 'see' what's going on beneath the surface of your interactions with people so you can feel the love that is being offered to you everyday through even painful circumstances. It provides you with tools for letting go of emotional baggage of the past and feel joy in surrending to life as it unfolds.
