Halima is a treasure...She has been a personal role model for me in the dance for many years and more recently become a true mentor to me.
Her talents are many...great knowledge of the art, fabulous creativity in costuming, shimmies and locks extraordinaire...but her light truly shines as a teacher of this beautiful dance. I've been interested in bellydance for almost thirty years as both a instructor/performer and costumer. I am a staff write for Jareeda Magazine and BellyDancer Magazine and I have written for other magazines as well. I have my own costume business called Halima's Designs. I am a mom, grandma and a great grandma. I have produced workshops, shows, competitions and stay as active with the dance scene as I can. And sometimes I actually have a moment to write a poem or two.
