about me
Born: Sept. 16, 1977 in Youngstown, Ohio.
Raised there for 18 years of my life. I was never a popular girl, always different, always wanting more. When I was 18, I joined the US Coast Guard and began a journey of a lifetime. 6 months before I separated from the CG, I discovered bellydance. I spent 6 months taking 7 hours of class a week, plus home practice, plus performances. My last performance I performed my first solo, also my first choreography. I was then separated from the military, and because I could not afford to stay in the area, my troupe as well.

Due to many circumstances in my life, I fell out of dancing. I took up sewing in the interim, and have found I have a talent in that arena as well.

Here I am, seven years after finding bellydance, returning to it and finding my skills only somewhat diminished. Someday in the future (hopefully near future) I will be able to afford classes again. Until then, I'm doing daily practice and back to doing some choreography.

The lyrics of Wynona Judd's Rock Bottom seem very appropriate here. I'll Blog them in.

Thank god. I need to get away for a bit. Recharge. Get my geek on.

SciFi/Fantasy conventions are great for that. This one just happens to be in Tri-Cities.

So, this morning I jump onto the RadCon website ( www.radcon.org for anyone who's curious) to see if they have the programming schedule up. Before I even find that out, though, lo and behold the front page is telling me there are 4 bellydanc... read more
