about me
Based in Israel, with my wife and kids, I have been working on two of the country's main English language web operations over the last decade. This is a crazy part of the planet but bit by bit each one of us can help improve things and leave the politics behind. We live on the edge of the pine-forested hills near Jerusalem, and when the red setting sun hits this area in the evenings it's just pure magic. :)

Electronic Thoughts

Last Sunday I took a guided Nature authority hike with our kids through Nahal Gishron which is mere a ten-minute drive out of Israel's Red Sea tourist resort Eilat, high in the desert mountains. We've been on walks in this area before but this particular hike was incredible. The climax was a steep narrow gorge that marks the border between Israel and Egypt down a half-kilometer deep crevice. Things quickly spiralled out of control and the results were obviously were much worse on the Lebanese side than the Israeli side.

Most Israelis felt that the Israeli army needed to react harshly to the initial border attack that killed 8 soldiers, resulted in 2 kidnapped, and a missile attack on Israeli towns.

I am still in a state of personal confusion about this whole conflict, so I am unab... read more

A simple entry by Kat got me thinking how much I love the Springsteen song 'Secret Garden' and how it seems to touch on one of the most magical things in my life.

I have known my wife for well over 20 years and there hardly isn't a day that passes that I don't discover something new and fresh about her on some level. I can watch her sometimes with our kids and just be blown away by the love, patience, strength and understanding she demonstrates. As... read more
