Newark, N.J. born and bred. I've also lived out among the commies in the San Francisco Bay Area, and those who escaped communism down in South Florida. I write for a living, but not for fun (or not often anyway.) I don't get out as much as I should these days. When I do, it's mostly for jazz clubs and comedy shows, and the occassional jaunt to an East Village tavern for some hardcore boogeying. People say I'm a know it all, so I'm trying hard to forget stuff. I drink a lot of wine and like to gorge on falafels. I have strange political and philosophical beliefs that people tend to find either sweetly naive (in a pandering bit of condescension) or really bloody frightening. But I'm harmless. Really. I think.
