May Today, Gone Tomorrow... well, the day after!

Where has the last 5 months gone?! Time has passed so quickly and I still feel as though I haven't had time to achieve any of my goals for this year. I've picked my violin up very little so it would come as no surprise to learn that I do not yet sound like the 5th member of 'Bond' or have I become fierce competition for Vanessa Mae haha ..but still, practice makes perfect right? I did manage to do some photo-manipulation artwork as you may have seen in my gallery. I'm quite pleased with how my skills are expanding in this area and I do hope to do more over the coming months. I managed to get done a small amount of graphic design which included the header & logo for a new Reiki & Spiritual community *cue shameless plug* 'Tranquil Energies' http://www.tranquilenergies.yuku.com ... and I do intend to write some more poetry before the years out and find more time to spend on my own Reiki practice & meditation. All that along with work, running a home, growing veg and decorating... the next 7 months are going to fly just as quickly as the last 5!

...or they soon will be! I finally have myself a beautiful shiny new violin... now all I need to do is learn music theory from pretty much scratch & get myself 'Violin for Dummies' and I'm away!! Haha.... earplugs all round me thinks!

The dawn of another year.... 2007 went by so quickly I'm sure I must have slept through most of it? haha Reflection - 2007 was a roller coaster ride for me... The year began as a new start, recovering from an almost fatal ectopic pregnancy, a new home, a new job & the beginning of my spiritual journey that would lead me to my Reiki attunement during the summer. Close personal relationships changed in ways I never anticipated and I achieved the 1 year mark of being a non-smoker! Towards the end of the year my Father suffered a stroke and my work contract came to an end two weeks before Christmas.. 'what goes up must come down' sums up the year perfectly. A look forward - 2008 ...So, what does this year hold for me? Hopefully soon, a new job in graphic/web design. This year I'd like to move forward in my spiritual development & hopefully do my Reiki Masters. I aim to sharpen my pencils and do some drawing before I get too rusty, tend my family tree (research) and I'm also hoping to learn to play the violin - although I don't think my partner or neighbours will share my enthusiasm haha Fasten your seatbelts & hold on tight for 2008!
