about me
I am an award-winning Middle Eastern dancer transplanted to Placerville via Hollywood, CA, and have been here now for 3 1/2 years. Lov'n it!!! I live on White Horse Ranch with my son, hubby, five - no - six cats, three - no - four horses, and three goats. I am the troupe founder/director for the fabulous group of women dancers known as "Jewels of the North" and the adorable "Jewelettes." I am also the founder and producer of The Casbah Lounge, Evening of Middle Eastern Dance, at Annabelle's Chocolate Lounge in El Dorado that is the premiere Middle Eastern Cultural Dance event in the Gold Country area. I teach bellydance, horseback riding lessons, and I am a law professor. Life is good.

Well, I am back from North Valley Bellydance Competition in Oroville, CA, and I had a WONDERFUL time this year. Yes, you are going to hear some talk in the bellydance community about how the sound system at the State Theatre this year was so "awful" since the base speakers were blown out and no one could hear their drum solos. It wasn't just drum solos that were missing on dancer's cd's, but any base line in your music. This made performing in all categories very challeng... read more

This show is produced by Vahana's "Hips are for Healing" and is in its second year running. It is always a charitable event with this evening's donations going to Animal Outreach of the Motherlode. The December show is traditionally the "alternative" music show, so while you can still dance to Middle Eastern music, you can also branch out in December if you w... read more
