about me
Why I Dance? I dance for Joy! Dancing stirs my soul.
I 've been dancing since age 7 (ballet).
My dance passion now is Sacred Circle Dance, it incorporates middle eastern, balkan, greek, israeli, dances (etc.) as well as new choreographies- all done in a circle of folks holding hands. it creates a sense of bonding, community.
I facilitate a circle in Nashville, TN.

My other passion is drumming. Sometimes I dance and play my frame drum at the same time. when I play my djembe, my hands do the dancing.

my favorite Goddess is Shakti "the Life Dancer", who dances the world into creation.

To watch us dance is to hear our hearts sing.
(Choctaw saying)

Dancing....

Dancing is not rising to your feet painlessly
like a speck of dust blown around in the wind
Dancing is when you rise above worlds
tearing your heart into pieces
and giving up your soul.

~Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi
