whatta lady. Miss Sally Titasey is such an amazing sista; she has been described by the wise as magical. if you ever get the chance to hear her sing something, you best be sitting down as the chicka can belt that shiza like you never heard, and may never hear again. She is one of the most real people i know, and damn is she priddy. I love my sistafromanothamista and consider myself blessed to know her.

It's late but I must write this down. Today was a little trying with various in-class essays to write, closed roads and drives in the rain. But, my day and some very beautiful ladies, pulled me into a space where I was in the presence of some crazily soulful singers and movers! Vocal improvization is one of the most naturally healing things I've ever experienced and I just want to thank everybody who I got to sing with tonight. It's been too long that I've been out of the groove and that ...

Well everybody, it's Friday! The reason this means something to me is that I actually get this weekend off - no driving, no classes!

I woke up at 5:00am this morning and left home at 5:30am to meet Tessa at the gym...The reason I leave this early is because it takes me an hour to drive down to Victoria this days from my new station at Shawnigan Lake. Near the Tibet border in China on Lugu Lake, there exists a culture where no man makes the rules, runs the house, controls the finances, or chooses a mate. Known as the Mosuo, this group lives in the large shadow of the Tibetan mountains and is one of the last true matriarchies on our planet. Matriarchy, a Greek word that translates as either "women rule" or "in the beginning the mothers," is a complete social and political system, usua... read more
Well, it's already August 2006. Where did the last 24 years go so hastily. Anyway, I haven't seen many of my people for many a day so I thought I'd throw a little update out. I've moved up to Shawnigan Lake for a little while. Life has been busy up until now and I'm enjoying the peace and quiet. I've had a lot of time to ride my bike, swim, walk and enjoy the sunshine. The days are quiet and I've been playing a lot of music. There are so many of you who I have pending arrangements to j...
