Major Faire/Fair dork from about 1971 to 1979. Then I went cold-turkey and faded away and radiated. Have worked in medical/legal offices since 1980, primarily legal for past 20 or so years. But not an attorney, praise the Lord.
From 1978 to 1979 I gradually weaned myself from Faire stuff to the wild and wooly SF punk/New Wave scene. Graduated from college in 1980, met my partner, and have been "married" for 28 years. I get duller and duller (or is it less brassy--hard to say) as the years go by, and just love it!!!!

Ms. A, you are an inspiration. I don't even do fairs anymore, and I feel compelled to put on a ruff and prance around the house in your honor. Now that's a vision I know you all could have done without!
