We, at Kink-e-Zine, have seen this publication grow immense leaps and bounds since its first issue was launched September 2007, to coincide with Folsom Street Fair Weekend. The feedback we've received from the San Francisco BDSM, Leather, Kink and Fetish communities has been nothing short of supportive...and for that, we thank you very much!

Now, we're embarking on a new year, and despite only being 5 months old in active circulation, we're already aiming higher! In coming months, watch for Kink-e-Zine's new streamlined, polished look with new formats. We hope you'll like it as much as we do!

We want to be THE publication serving our awesome community, providing insightful articles, informative interviews with many of the pillars of our community, entertaining blogs, humor and fiction/erotica, and much more..and soon, not just more communities will be kept abreast of who we are and what we do, but more regions! With that being said, in 2008 Kink-e-Zine will be bringing news of the San Francisco Bay Area Kink scene to the Western US, and soon after, we will become a NATIONAL publication! Contacts and media news sharing have already been made over the past couple of months with BDSM communities across the US, who want to know about us, and want us to know about them.

Does this mean that we'll be focusing less on "home" and more of the rest of the US? Not at all---we want the rest of the US to see just why our community is the most vibrant, most innovative and most well-known BDSM community in the world!

I've been asked what would Kink-e-Zine do if other e-zines began popping up across the Bay Area--would if affect our circulation/coverage? The way I look at it is this: the Greater San Francisco Bay Area is home to a huge population of kinksters, many BDSM organizations from the North Bay to the South Bay, the East Bay and San Francisco, a couple of dungeons, a fetish sex club, and numerous other perverted playgrounds---why not? As the original SF Bay Area Kink-e-Zine, to be imitated can only be taken one way...as the ultimate flattery!

Nationally? It's a big step indeed...and we never would possibly imagine it to be a step we could handle if it wasn't for the incredible Staff we have who finds no task too big for them to handle, as well as the community we have right here at home whom we honor, respect, admire, and are proud to call ours!

Many changes will be in store with Kink-e-Zine over the next few months, but none of them will change who we are, and who we always will be...a publication OF the community, BY the community, and FOR the community!
