Apparently since I don't currently live in the bay area, I don't have enough time to visit tribenet very often. As of now I can only use it as a potential organizing device for future travels given that I have two jobs, a life, and too many art shows going on here in Oregon right now. My apologies tribenet friends, I've been cheating on you with myspace, myartspace, and my art website... On top of this I started a second job as an usher at the Hult Center for the performing arts. This job is part time, but has the great perk of being paid to watch anything from Jethro Tull, Carmen the Ballet, Cats, or the symphony. I've also been in three art shows in just this month. Throughout my life I was always afraid of far too many things, and I let that terror confine me. Over the last five years I've managed to run face first into experiencing every one of those fears I most wanted to avoid at some point or another whether it be petty or serious. Today I ventured once more into the Eugene art scene to peruse what this city has to offer in that realm. I was sadly disappointed by what local art I saw in the Mayor's art show as well as the Salon Des Refusals. I had hoped one would be a tell tale difference from the other, however the only noticeable difference was that of presentation and craftsmanship.
