Things no one tells you about moving to Ireland and they bit me in the butt: (blog entry)
- how hard the driving adjustment is - it doesn't become easy overnight and when the act of going anywhere by car is stress inducing I don't go...anywhere. Driving when you *have* to be somewhere at a specific time is a different ball game from ... read more

Tribal fusion class - different is good....but frustrating (blog entry)
First, I just need to say Graziela is a great teacher. I'm taking 2 classes a week from her mainly b/c I have so little to do and feel that this is a good way to meet like minded women and to keep me motivated. The exercise also helps the S.A.... read more

Man,....I'm tired!
I don't know if it's my thyroid acting up or the weather (very dark and dismal of late). I *am* keeping myself pretty darn busy. Since I signed myself up for both a trio and a solo at this Dec 8th Hafla, I've gotten serious about working out and practice. Tuesdays and Thursdays I go to dance class then stay an hour afterwards to either work on the trio with the other two grrls or work on my solo with Graz coaching me. M/W/F I work out at the gym 6:30 - 8:30. I'm also pretty slammed at wor... read more

Things no one tells you about moving to Ireland and they bit me in the butt:

- how hard the driving adjustment is - it doesn't become easy overnight and when the act of going anywhere by car is stress inducing I don't go...anywhere. Driving when you *have* to be somewhere at a specific time is a different ball game from touring around. my dance tacher said it took her over a year to get comfortable driving and she's from BRAZIL.

- No sun and rain = SAD - even though it's summer you can get it when there's no sunlight.

First, I just need to say Graziela is a great teacher. The exercise also helps the S.A.D. that keeps plaguing me. I'm having a great time overall.

Graziela is Brazilian and she teaches the class as tribal fusion with a lot of samba, flamenco, and such thrown in with a more cabaret type belly dance. (Irish grrls are into high energ... read more

Well, the official word is in - I'm here for sure until the end of November or second week of December. While it's nice to have a job, I feel frustrated because it's not doing the job I came over here to do (Manufacturing Execution Systems Project mgt.) and it's.....mid boggling-ly boring to me. Not un-important, but most definitely NOT my thing. I think most everyone has these jobs come along -where you hate doing it, but it needs done and you're the person available to do it. UGH!
