things that happen!

So after woodshedding for 3 weeks playing the same songs over and over again, I learned these fast complex arrangements. Finally all the fish in the tank assembled. We didn't talk much, since I don't speak Roma, Rumainian or French, we couldn't say much anyway, but we did play and play and play. Playing fast and furious gypsy jazz around a fire as the sunsets is the best thing in the world for me.

sometimes I wonder why the sky cries. I do love the light of the city on a wet night. Like new snow, it makes the world look magical. I like rain!

The band is still drifting around out there somewhere. While I woodshed in my cityroom, staring out my window at a mural that has one word painted on it in industrial yellow and black. It says EXTINCT. Sometimes I wonder.

This thursday I play the ferry building from 4 to 7. Friday I have a recording date. I just wish I could get a real date... read more

Greetings and salutations new and old friends,
I will be recording my adventures here with the FISHTANK ENSEMBLE as we tour the west coast.
We finally, well almost, played as a band last night in the studio in Santa Cruz.Tim, the original bass player, was kind enough to sit down with me and show what was up with the bass lines. What an experience. This guy is not only an amazing musician,but, a heck of a nice guy. Thank again Tim. Thou art god of bass!
