pisces is the aesthete. made to think and feel. i once read that to a pisces work is a four letter word and i agree however it is important to note that to a pisces, work is defined as that which one doesnt enjoy doing, so by that definition if we enjoy it, its not work to us. for instance i can focus and work very hard for hours on a creative project, but sit me at a desk with no creative input and i quickly grow bored and unhappy.

my moon in gemini keeps me moving and thinking and changing and growing. it seeks out stimuli and change while my pisces sun wants peace and tranquility. this can be a problem yet in concert with the drive and capability and focus of my capricorn rising, venus in aries and mars in sagittarius and the vision of mercury in aquarius, the conflicts keep me from stagnating for too long. when the pisces sensitivities isolate me too much these other aspects are what allow me to pull myself out of it over and over again and strike out and do something new and bold. it ensures that my life will always be an adventure.

both the pisces and the gemini like to make deep philosophical connections with people and are easily bored if this doesnt happen. at parties i need to be stimulated by deep conversation or entertained by a great show or a fun game. i dont like to just hang out and chit chat and bullshit.

my venus in aries wants me to move on and seek out love and relationship singlemindedly and voraciously in a totally self fulfilling way. it can be very selfish, fickle and powerful so beware. it also provides a general reality which is completely self referencial. so when im done with someone its over, no matter what anyone else thinks, likewise when im not done and they are, as well as who and what i want and when. quite often there is the feeling within me that i want what i want and i want it now. you can probably imagine that this is not necessarily the best path to happiness and fulfillment. learning to manage the focus of venus in aries has been a major practice in my life. it is only now that i am older and wiser that i have learned to temper the beast.

the beauty of astrology is that i can recognize these truths about myself and others, and rather than judging i can see it as a fact rather than an issue and learn to work within the framework of the facts as they are. as i learn to do this more and more i learn to accept myself and others and begin to develop that sweet relief of surrendering to what is rather than wasting my life force struggling against it.
