Oh the times they are a changing…..
We live in an ever changing world full of hope and opportunity around every door. The hallways are long and wide, but the true power exists within those who have the keys to open the door. Yet, not all who are presented with the keys have the courage to step through the threshold of these doorways. It can be daunting in light of many of the world events, but now more than ever we as one united humanity need to embrace courage and hope. We have, and always have, had the power and potential within each and every one of us to rise to the occasion of greatness and overcome the struggles of the world. We are presented with struggles and hardships day to day. Some of these struggles vary in severity, but we all have the potential to overcome them and rise to our true potential as already enlightened beings of the planet we call Earth. Day by day, minute by minute, second after passing second we as individuals are presented with options. We have choice and foresight which are some of great attributes that our species has achieved over thousands of years of evolution. Now is the time to engage this evolutionary process and propel ourselves into the next paradigm of human existence. When you wake up every morning you are presented with two options. Option one is to wake up and bitch and moan about the existence that you are here to live. You can focus on all things negative in those precious waking moments and loathe the job, relationship, economic standing, etc and totally destroy any chance of the divine day that awaits you. Or you can embrace the life that has been bestowed upon you from the billions of years of universal process that allowed you to be here today. So much has come before you to allow you the existence that you have, and why would you not want to embrace that opportunity of existence? With every breath we take we are experiencing the truly miraculous experience that is reality, so why not embrace that which lies before you? The latin phrase “Carpe Diem” means: Seize the day. If we are to get through these perceivably difficult times we must do just this. As a species we need to stop creating our own suffering in our day to day. Perhaps if we could take a larger perspective on things we as individuals may realize that things are not as bad as we think. Bad things do not happen in life…only events happen and we perceive them to be bad. Now, I do not mean to marginalize those trying times that we all experience, but I feel that if we are to truly move past this difficult period on our planet we must try, every one of us, with every ounce of our being to move past them and chose the high road of existence. Envision the issues you are having as opportunities for advancement. It is true that what does not kill us only makes us stronger, and these are lessons that we pass on to our future generations. We must be the examples for the future generations so that they can look back and understand why and how we embraced this great turning on our planet. If we do not engage the stresses of our lives and be willing to sit in the fire of struggles and oppression than we shall never evolve past our current state of being. Through love and compassion we as one united people of planet Earth can help to support one another through our times of perceived suffering. The abandonment of negative thought is the only way I feel that we can ever hope to grow and evolve in the ways that we need most. We must be open and honest with each other about our fears, anger, and sadness toward what is going on. By acknowledging these fears we can break the chains that hold us back! I urge you to remove your mind from the prison of fear for it is a posion of the masses. I am afraid for what lies ahead of us for our nation and our planet as a whole, but I know that I and you are not alone in our struggle for global harmony. As we speak the masses are waking up to the atrocities of our systems of government, business, economy, and social structures. Believe me, you are not alone. There is a hope brewing all across the world and the peaceful warriors of a new tomorrow are beginning to organize themselves to break away from the present calamity that we call human civilization. Now is the time to find that power within and take a stand for the overwhelming power of love and potential that exist inside of you. Find your support networks and establish them now for they are your future family that will help to carry you through. Learn the ways of the natural world, for the systems of man can never last. Only our knowledge of our interconnectedness with the web of life can carry us through the coming ages. Our infrastructure (food, water, shelter, heat in cold areas), the things that allow us to live, are of the utmost importance and we need to understand how to survive without the providers of the government and the major business industries that control the world. They have now power if we choose not to participate. I say this again, THEY ONLY HAVE POWER BECAUSE WE GIVE IT TO THEM!!! The power lies within your mind and heart which I know is pure in its essence, but at times gets clouded with the happenings of life and society. Do not embrace the instinct to lash out, either physically or emotionally or verbally, learn to transform that rage into a perspective of compassion for the situation of the other person. Most likely the ways in which they respond are learned behaviors and not what truly lies in their heart. Behind even the most hateful is a small crying child just begging for attention, however they express it in malicious ways in an effort to get their voice heard. Patience is key in these times for no one really knows what will happen next. But I do know one thing if we can come together as a loving and compassionate unified force we can overcome all obstacles, together, and move the mountains that stand in our way. If we are united we can stand tall and face the times ahead, but if we are divided we will soon face the fate of every one of our brother and sister species and civilizations that fell. The great Sioux prophet and Chief Sitting Bull said that, “ As individual fingers we can be broken, but together we make a mighty fist.” Let us not fall at the hands of one another, whether it be emotional strife, hurtful speech, or physical violence. Let us embrace eachother for what we truly are…human. The diversity of this planet is what makes up the rainbow tapestry of humanity and we must embrace it for all its glory. I wish you well on your journey through this reality and hope that you have the courage to stand with the rest of us and embrace the changes ahead with love, humility, and compassion. Together we can make history….if we only have the confidence, and support of one another, to believe that we truly can. Be well dear friend and I hope that our paths may cross again.
