some call me a sloth cuz i tend to move through life in an almost slow-motion type of way. maybe that's my totem animal or something, although i feel more inclined toward a chimpanzee or a goat.
when i connect to music, i'm at my favorite kind of peace, so i strive to keep that happening for me (and for other people too if i'm lucky).

i read that today in this Escher book i got for my birthday. i'm always in awe of his work, and the way he blends mathematical and perspectual (i think i just made up a word) skills with his expressions about life.

this man will make your heart swoon with music and laughter- two of the best medicines. i may be biased from the whole sibling deal, but if you ask his friends they would say the same. his smile is that tune you've had in your head since you can remember, and just in case you still need to sing along, he can play it for you by ear on any number of instruments. i love this boy as deep and wide as the ocean, and as endlessly as that rhythm it beats upon the shore.
