Ok, so I realized i was slackin' on the photos!!! I just posted a few of what I have on my computer- until last December I was a non-digital gal, so most of photos from the last 13 years are actual PHOTOS (not digital files), and have yet to be scanned. For some reason I have nothing after 2003 on this computer... I'm not really sure why. (Did I stop performing?!?! I didn't think so...)
I'll dig through stuff and see what I can find!

I don't even know where to start. When i was a baby dancer and saw Naima dance for the first time, i was so blown away I was too awed to even talk to her. But as luck would have it, we got to be troupe mates and i actually got to be her collaborative partner for Ren Faire dances! Now that I think back, it's been a funny, joyful, awesome ride. Naima inspires me to step out there. She has helped me overcome my TERROR of veils. (They scare me almost as bad as clowns.) She's always there, quietly watching and waiting to see if she can offer support and encouragement. She seems to know just when to ease in and squeeze my hand or give me a hug of encouragement.
Naima has gone from being one of my dance models (although she still is), to troupe mate, to friend, to Lotus sister. I love ya, Sweetie! You're one of the reasons I dance!

Naima is indeed an awesome dancer! If only she actually knew it. :)
I met Naima some almost 5 years ago while under the instruction of Yasmine. While offstage she appears to be a slightly shy gal and downplays herself, onstage she's as big as life itself! :) I've had the awesome opportunity to dance with Naima, and she definitely holds her weight and is inspiring to all of her who watch. And her choreographies rock!
