You like me, you really like me!

I love this woman! She inspires me! The dragons ... costumes ... dancing ... makeup ... slinging zills at my head ... and those swirlie butt peacock pants! I am so proud to have her as my friend ... although she does need a swift kick in the ass from time to time to remind her that she is freakin' AWESOME!!!!!!!

Xenia is an amazing dancer, teacher, and artist. She has a stage presence that never fails to wow the audience (she definitely has "It" even if she doesn't know it). She's very knowledgeable about dance, art, and the business of both, and I am constantly learning new things from her. She's a good friend with a fascinating and magnetic personality, and she's always fun to talk to.

What can I say about this wonderful Goddess. Well, she happens to be one of my good friends that I have grown to love. She is also my teacher. If it was not for her, I don't think I would be dancing yet. She has such a wonderful spirit & a great sense if humor. She has to to put up with me. LOL
Thank you very much for everything you have done for me & also to all the other people you have come in contact with.
Your a wonderful teacher, but your one hell of a friend too.
Love ya chica!

My Videos on YouTube

The weekend prior to this performance, we took a workshop from Artemis Mourat, and she gave us some quotes from stuffy Europeans from way back when about bellydance. One of them had to do with Hussies who wore yellow and dared to bare their faces and ankles (oooh). Later that day, Xenia got a new yellow veil and said she could now officialy be a hussy in yellow, and someone pointed out that she had been a hussy in yellow the evening before when she performed. She's wearing the same yellow costume here. I love this clip because it really reveals her personality. I don't think anyone else could handle a snaffu with a wayward cane with such pizazz. Here she is...the hussy in yellow. The song is Walla Keida Agbeen It's available at: cdbaby.com/cd/kall

Hehe...I believe that comment was made after Xenia was watching this video and compared her look in this performance to some frothy, pink, whipped desert or some such item. Xenia performs a cane dance at a hafla in Lebanon, TN. The song is Walla Keida Agbeen It's available at: cdbaby.com/cd/kall
