Sharing is bountiful!
I have in the past year been nudged often to start writing and sharing more. So I have slowly started to do that. A week or so ago I published an article on Witchvox www.witchvox.com/va/dt_va.htmlThe feedback and support has been wonderful, and has encouraged me to write more. I thank all of you that have been a part of that! :)
Trouble!!
I have the fastest cable connection possible. I have been trying with multiple browsers. everytime I try to use this site It logs me off to a browser error message. I have no trouble with any other sites. After the first few times I thought it was just a busy site. But so many tries at different times and all over weeks leaves me wondering.Does anyone else have trouble- any suggestons. Goddess please when I click send- let it go through!!
Funny enough, after posting the message above the trouble has gone. Hmmmmm. ;)
Celtic Wheel
Well I am sure sweet sunshine would be more in line with what we want for our Bealtaine, as it would lend a poetical beauty to the day along with all the beautiful trees and lilacs and all. I am however truly enjoying the silver stormy sky.We have been spoiled here the last few days with sunshine and blooms everywhere. My Carolina wrens have returned again and are as territorial as ever with hanging baskets. I love their evening song!
It is truly the most perfect time to celebrate spring and the mysteries of life. Much unlike trying to fit the christian and commercial easter around our beliefs by focusing on Ostara. But if I were in the Mediterranean or even in that climate zone it would make more sense. Things would be in bloom and warming unlike what we experience here in Ohio. On Easter/Ostara we were building huge snowmen.
A friend of mine, who teaches bellydance, recently moved up from LA and commented on how the celtic calender makes sense to her now. She poetically phrased the timing of it with everything emerging as being the ecstasy of the goddess. The Celtic wheel she said isn't practical in LA- the seasons are too different. But here Bealtaine clearly marks the spring and it is no wonder I have settled for so many years into this cycle at coming of age, and moving into this region.
I wonder if the rhythm of the earth was part of the draw to celtic wheel so many years ago. I never considered it before as part of that source.
It does seem practical too choose a pagan/nature worship system that fits with your climate zone. I lived in tropical or subtropical places my whole life. I even lived overseas for a great period. But I always longed for the seasons- I really am at home more northward bound. I find it inspiring.
Well I had best get back to work, I have to get some things up on my artist blog soon.
Happy May to ALL!
