about me
I am primarily interested in ATS and Tribal Fusion Bellydance, but would love to learn more about all styles of belly dance from Egyptian Cabaret to Gothic! I am currently a member of Sabba Tribal Fusion Bellydance but also perform as part of a trio or as a soloist from time to time.

I am also a musician--my main instruments are my voice and the violin, but I love to play djembe and would love to learn to play the doumbek. I would soon like to incorporate live music into my performances.

I will be dancing again any day now!!! (blog entry) I passed my oral comprehensive exam today which means I know for sure now that I will be graduating next week!

So now I just have a short paper, a final exam and my internship to finish up and I'll be DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm having bellydance withdrawals! (blog entry) I haven't been able to bellydance in several weeks and I'm having severe withdrawal symptoms which include shimmying while doing housework, spontaneous body waves and snake arms in the shower. HELP!

I can't wait until mid-December when I can start back up... I'm looking around for workshops and haflas for December and January--hopefully something will come up. For now, I am definitely planning on the Issam Houshan workshop in January so I can pick up some drumming skills!

Well, it's happened again... now that I've just gotten back into dancing I have to take yet another hiatus.
