Clothing sizes from 12/14 to 2X. Many new items, some gently used but in great condition. I also have a some used CDs of various genres.

Ayleeza & Jaffi present The Joining- A Belly Dance Play
August 22 & 23 at 7PM and matinee on August 24 at 2PM
Will the tradition-loving bride and her modern groom come to a meeting of the minds? Will the bride die of embarassment when her crazy mother (that would be me!) breaks into a song about the "birds & the bees" on her wedding day? (Yes, I wrote this comedy song especially for The Joining...eat your heart out, Weird Al!) Will the Wedding Singer finally get everybody up to do The Chicken Dance??? Find out at The Joining!
The show includes lovely choreography, including a "calling of the elements" dance featuring Elisheva of Bellyqueen, Ayleeza and Jaffi, and some amazing new talent as well! Drumming with Casey Bond, Phoenix and Jaffi, with Sara Hill on recorder and percussion. Very special musical guests Melissa and Jeff from everybody's favorite bellyrock band, Ishtar!

Just an observation from your friendly neighborhood "Rhythms for Dancers" teacher:
I overheard a professional belly dancer telling her friend that she feels like she's hit a "plateau" so she's gonna spice up her dancing with a new ($600+) costume. Another pro dancer shared with me that she wants to take her dancing to "the next level" so she's signed up for a Balkan music class (to get the feel of unusual time signatures like 7's & 9's) and will be attending more live music venues with o...

Please bear with me- my rants are few and far between...
Just an observation regarding some of the drumming classes at Pennsic: there's a "first tier" group of obviously qualified teachers (like Raquy, Daveed, Carmine, Nevik, and Sabiety, just to name a few.)
Then there are other folks -like me- who volunteer to teach a class or two.
Yes, back home on Long Island where doumbek classes are rare, I may teach a beginner's class now and again - by request! But because there are so m...
