The temperature in the 60's.I must remark this is unusual weather for this moutaineous region but very much valued. I relished looking up at the bright blue sky through the skeletal boughs of the hardwood trees lining the quiet streets. My feet crunched the loose black gravel strewn last week by the cinder tr... read more

So here it is: belly dancing is not a significant facet of Middle Eastern culture. It’s a dance, not a lifestyle (not according to most Middle Eastern people, anyway). I’ve had ... read more

But, my horoscope this week kinda freaked me out. This past summer, my partner and I took my daughter, Sapphire, to see the "Simpson's Movie" at a neat old drive-in movie theatre for some family fun. We had the most quirky fun that night! I was totally taken by a part in the movie in which Homer held his pig... read more

Harold Eugene born November 9, 1944 died October 29, 2007. I'm feeling very sad and am in shock even though I knew this was coming. I loved him very much. Swan I'm feeling frustrated today with my progress in belly dance. I need to achieve more flexibility. I'm thinking of taking up yoga. Just which yoga I have not yet decided. My moves seem stiff and artificial to me. My snake arms look like stick woman arms! I've now taken 7 classes for a total of 21 class hours.... I know I'm a beginner but I want to move with fludity. Can a 30 something woman who has never taken dance in her life really learn to dance Tribal Fusion belly dance? I'... read more

I give myself rewards to work toward as well.
For instance I just finished up my final exams and writing term papers. I told myself that I could buy a new costume piece for Belly Dance after I wrote my term paper. Rewards are helpful when I'... read more discussion post on Wed, May 14, 2008 - 8:24 AM

I also really enjoyed Narah's performance. I had hoped for a chance to be introduced but alas, it didn't happen....
It was such an awesome mix of talent wasn't it? Swan discussion post on Mon, May 12, 2008 - 12:22 PM
