Two years ago we thought it would be a good idea to buy a 1970 VW bus for Richard to renovate. He renovated out 1971 VW Beetle Cabrio, after we found it rusting, complete with bird's nest, on a farm in Germany. Richard learned to weld on the Beetle and we've been enjoying it for the last 15 years. At the time we bought Colin Richard's knees had been injured (That's another story... read more

Shocked bellydance students watched in horror as their teacher was attacked by a fellow dancer last night. Kerry Whithurst launched an unprovoked and vicious attack on her teacher Donna Gardner. She was heard screaming, “Sam Hasthorpe told me to do this!” Onlookers tried to help their startled teacher, as she struggled to free herself. Just got to bed and the cat was trying to break into the wardrobe (his latest variation on anti-social behaviour!). Richard got up to close the door and..........What The............? The house shook sharply back and forth and continued to shimmy for a few seconds, while the windows creaked. That's the second time in this house. So this was the strongest one felt in Britain for 25 years........bit scary!
