Hooping early morning

<div>Just came in from an early morning hoop - Went out at 5am to pale blue skies and a yellow tint of rising sun. Gorgeous.
Been working on a costume to wear at the weekend, trying it out to see how it wears when I'm moving.

Played about on one leg, pulled some faux-spiritual poses - except hoop feels almost spiritual, so maybe it's not faux?

Spirituality
Hoop feels spiritual, almost, sometimes. Why? Because it makes my heart flutter at the thought of it, and when I spin, I feel like I'm hypnotising myself. There's this serene place.. It's like, stillness within movement. (Did Sharna say that?)
I love to move. I love acknoledging my body. Hoop fills me with joy!</div>

Performing at the RAG fashion show

<div>On monday I found out that circus soc were supposed to be represented at the Raising and Giving social, but because there was no communication, only one person was performing..I voluntered, on tuesday I was confirmed to do it, and the performance was today.

I wanted the chance to perform, even though I didn't have a routine, an outfit, even a song. I've been worrying about the cabaret performance in a months time so much, I wanted a chance to perform and screw up and it to be fine.

I didn't really make a routine until this evening - though I had an idea of what I wanted to do. I spent ages making myself look lovely, and got a nice dress on, and danced to the song in my bedroom (which isn't big enough to hoop in)

The performance itself went fantastically. It wasn't flawless, but what was great was how comfortable I felt doing my thing. Last time I was doing a routine, I was in a total panic, and that time I'd spent longer preparing. This time, I was so much more confident and at ease with the energy focussed upon me, and that's what was so great. I think after this the cabaret performance will go much smoother - in fact I like the routine I made and the song, so I'll probably use that again, and now I have a whole month to get it down.
Yay! I just feel great about the whole performance, like I've grown, like I can still grow.

(and the applause made me feel just a bit great!)

Hoop Love

<div>My childsize hoops are the only ones that are small enough to even consider playing with in my room, so I've been doing that a bit recently.. then last night I had a dream about a cool move using them, so I just went outside to try it. It's fairly simple really but in my dream it was really cool so I had to do it.
I'm supprised by how much I was able to do with them today. The wind is gusty so maybe it was keeping them up a little.. I managed to do a step through, bob my neck out, move it down to my legs and get a foot out. They're quite pleasant for hand hooping, being so light.. Will for sure try again, they make you be quite precise because they are so light.
Now I feel a bit dizzy and almost like I have a hangover. Not sure why.</div>
