about me
Right now I'm training myself to (hopefully!) someday be a professional tribal/tribal fusion belly dancer and/or teacher. I'm working in a pathetic retail job until I get my ass together to become self employed (yes, I did say "get my ass together"). I have too many influences to really mention. Aaaannnd... I can't think of much else to say really. It's hard for me to talk about myself. It gives me nausea and the gum disease gingivitis.

Re: colinette .5
(in Tribal Costuming)

yeah i do likes me some colinette .5 but other than that i've just found clearance yarns that i've liked. colinette is prolly the only one i would invest the money in. i really like it's "dready" texture! discussion post on Mon, November 2, 2009 - 3:28 PM
Re: Muffin Top
(in Bellydance Health, Fitness, and Anatomy)
Everything the above post says but I also wanted to add that the best diet you can do is SMALL portions of food & cut back on your carbs. Sad but true! If you're not a vegetarian eat lean, non-red meats. Of course don't cut out carbs completely. J...

Re: Need a drill to help improve back flexibility
(in Bellydance Drills and Choreography)
My faves are low cobra & cobra. Also, I can't remember what it's called, but when you lay on your belly & then use your back muscles to pick your arms & legs off of the ground & gradually get them higher with each lift. That one really helps me ou...

Re: what do you guys love about miss Rachel?
(in Rachel Brice)
I haven't had the pleasure to meet her yet (i will in pittsburgh this november though! wooo!) but i like how when i watch her i feel challenged to do better myself with my dancing. it's not in a weird, "i-feel-threatened" way but just a "wow i can...

Not super thrilled with Tribal LA DVD
(blog entry)
If anyone wants to check out the new Tribal LA dvd do like i did & order it from netflicks first. I was pretty disappointed. The performances weren't bad but just not that great. Even the ones from the well known tribal gals were just so so. maybe...

Re: Shimmies/vibrations and the pumping of the knees
(in Bellydance Drills and Choreography)
As far as i was always taught, both in doing & understanding, that you should not pump your knees.for shimmies it should be done with the glutes & any movement of the knees is just a reaction to your hips moving. kinda like having the small moveme...
