quiet, but not shy
there's a newly visible comet that's brightened a million times in the last week or so; see www.skyandtelescope.com/observ...26.htmli just saw it from the suburbs of minneapolis; looks like an unimpressive star naked eye, a fuzzy blob in binoculars
i helped with a habitat build last saturday, the first time i've worked with them. i learned some things about siding. i'm hoping to slowly learn enough about building houses to be more useful with disaster relief work. my only professional building experience was doing roofing, a long time ago.

We buried my dad today. He was a decorated pilot in WWII, but a hero in my eyes more for the quiet things, the things that happen at 3 am and almost no one ever knows; trying to live a life of honor and integrity. It's hard when our heroes pass, though we know it has to happen. It's up to us now.
