I look for the light in the strangest of places- once in awhile I get shown. I'm a summer love in the spring fall and winter. I'm an empty cup only love can fill. I'm a long distance runner. I'm fire on the mountain. I ain't got half of what I thought I had. There seems to be a beat now, I can feel it in my feet now. I can't go back and I can't stand still. I gotta get down, I gotta get down. I listen to the river sing sweet songs. I'm seeking all that's still unsung. I look for familiar faces in empty window panes. I feel like a stranger. I'm a child of countless dreams. I don't know what I'm going for but I'm going to go for it for sure. I will get by. I thought I heard a blackbird singin' up on bluebird hill. I saw a bird with a tear in his eye walk to New Orleans. I'll still sing you love songs written in the letters of your name. I hope the love will not forsake the days that lie between. The bus came by and I got on that's where it all began. Will you come with me? Maybe you'll find direction around some corner where it's been waiting to meet you. I'll drink your health, share your wealth. I'll get up and fly away. A friend of the devil is a friend of mine. Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
