We just started this company called zhibit.org around the idea that putting up a web site to show your work as an artist shouldn't be that hard or cost a lot of money to build or to maintain. Our service is such that you design your site online and we host it for you for a subscription. Sort of like myspace except with no ads or banners! And it's only for artists.

The company was started in 2005. Our founders - other than being super programmers - are also artists on their spare time and that's where the idea came from. The site has lots of information on the service but feel free to contact me if you have any questions that were not answered there. We're still small and you will soon find that there's a personal touch to how we do things.

Pretty much any professional in the fields of art is welcome. From photography and visual arts to ceramics, glass or sculture. From new media to old media to design or modeling.

If you need a website or want to refresh one that collects dust, give us a try. It's really easy - the typical web site shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to set up. And if you compare us with the alternative of hiring a professional web designer, it's a bargain too. We have plans starting at $1 a year.
