about me
I joined tribe to extend myself to the additional knowledge and friendship of others in my artistic communities. I have a B.A. in theater arts from Central Washington University and a M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology. I am co-founder of a local, non-profit theater called Daisy's Madhouse, whose focus is to provide theater productions that often get overlooked in smaller, more conservative areas. I have been a dancer since I was 3 years old with training in salsa, hip hop, tap, jazz, modern, ballet and recently belly dance. I have taken a few years of traditional styles focusing on Egyptian cabaret and Turkish Rom, however, my heart fell upon fusion belly dance and I have never looked back. =o)
I am a dancer in Cairo Fusion and a member of it's advanced group, Mazana. Basically....just give me a reason to move, I love to dance!!!!!!

The Zoroastrian Pagan is a rare breed who follows the teachings of Zoroaster, the religious reformer. He believed that there were no gods, and it was naive to put faith in them and give them names. What one should focus on is merely serving one side of the cosmic duality; work on good or light deeds, and the world would become more good or light. Pagans of this variety are rare, but often feel like they get more done without the hassle and clutter of pantheons and gods. They're smart, ana...

I am really starting to hate my job. I went to college for theater origionally...I have always felt that the need to create is the strongest force in my life. However, after suffering a year of 3 month contracts and all night hang/focuses...I realized that the stress of being a theatrical designer was just too much. Fast forward to now. I have my masters in speech language pathology. I went this route with the hopes of being able to work with actors/singers...yet also have stability and less ...

Za'Nyah - Uniquely Beautiful AKA - Zahnya, Za'naya, Z'nya, Z'anha, and beyond! It makes me think about how we identify ourselves by our names. I used to get upset when I was a little girl and people spelled my name incorrectly but now...now I enjoy seeing the creativity behind the letters and the phonetic rules that these people have for themselves. It'... read more

Our bodies speak a language of its own.", - Ibrahim Farrah To dance is to share - to share is to te... read more
So, after spending a day doing nothing but surfing around YouTube- I have come to the conclusion that I really REALLY want to learn more about tribal fusion dancing. I know that some dancers look down on it but I think it is beautiful. In saying that- if anyone reads this, does anyone know who in the area teaches any classes on fusion? If there are....let me know! I am totally interested!
