a kiss
I sat in want and longing of late
To meet the one to make my mate
Now you have appeared my heart will soar
Wanting to feel your touch all the more
With hands upon your heart
My passion will start
As eyes peer deep with desire
We embrace kindling love’s fire
My lips upon your lips now kiss
How soft and warm does feel this bliss
Slowly enters the heat of your tongue
In the gate of heaven I am flung
Support me my love now in embrace
As my soul melts held face to face
Sweet sounds of succulent sips
Lull the longing of our loving lips
From life to life I life I live for this
From you, something so simple as a kiss
Vicious budhist
"Dont be so high and mighty that you are of no earthly good", resonates in my head as i look at a fellow chastizing me in a Tebetan retreat up in the Santa Cruz mountains. In the Sanga, where the floor is covered in red, green, yellow, and orange mats with tube like pillows, there are foto copies. The HOLY Bodhi Darma in Xerox.... OM ah hung beza guru pedma ....So check it out! In moving about i walked over a copy.... What sin, what evil had I perpetrated.... Well i was told that it was a holy copy and that i must respect it by not steping over it....Oh please, I thought. My reply was why are you so offened... For we often really respond more to ToNe than to world choice.
I say well then maybe its in your karmic path that my mistake was placed so that you might respond with greater compassion... Then i asked well let me take this paper after the chanting home to my ghetto barrio and fold it into an origami piece( yes, fold and cut the holy bodhi darmic Xerox) that moves when you pull at it... and give it to a child that lost a brother to gang violence or a parent to drugs... and for the moment in time that i feed this child with my attention and teach her or him to teach to another, we make something more than this paper toy. In this connection, how then will our hearts warm and how big will be the smiles that land on both our faces...
The teachinga was on paise to a teacher (guru: Om a hung benza GURU pedma hung!) Funny that!
