Michael is one of those rare people, one of the ones you never expect to meet. He's smart, funny, articulate, charming. He's got the ability to see past all of the illusions we show each other and ourselves, look at the person hiding beneath, and love them in spite of their flaws, or perhaps because of them. He genuinely appreciates people as they are. I count myself amazingly lucky to call him friend.
