The Scroll

To be Elvin is to remember what once was and will be again.

The Ancient History of the Elvin People

Our language has been lost to the wind. Our people have been lost to time. Now we stand on the precipice of rebirth into the world of men with great trepidation.

Before the possibility of this event may occur what has once been forgotten must now be remembered.

The Great All Father divine first created two perfect Elves, a man and a woman. They became known as the First Two or The First Lord and The First Lady. The First Lord was given pale blue eyes like diamonds with hints of blue in the white iridescence. His hair was long, brown, and straight past his waist. The First Lady however had pale green eyes the color of light jade with specks of emerald green. Her hair flowed long and gentle like the Lord’s except it was a light brown, the color of a doe’s hide. Both had fair skin, ears that came to a gentle point, and a harmonious peace about them that no other being known had even possessed.
The two had been given a deep understanding of nature and for as long as they obeyed the natural ways they lived in happiness and harmony with each other and the world around them. The All Father was so pleased with them that he taught them the gifts of healing, magick, and nature that were part of the Great Universe.

The All Father warned them to respect and hold true what he had taught them or he would make them forget what they had learned. The Lord and Lady headed his word as a reward they and there children were granted further gifts that others did not posses.
The first was longevity. The second was wisdom. The third was the ability to see beyond the normal into what cannot be seen. The fourth was the gift of foresight.

Overtime Elves came to a grace and beauty of their own creation due to the peaceful and harmonious lives they lived. Their eyes came to reflect the pure hearts that beat in the breast of every Elf. Overtime this became a traight that all Elves were born with. Their eyes also began to reflect that peaceful magic granted them.

After a few thousand years The First Two had birthed many beautiful healthy children. The All Father had kept the race of Elves perfect so they could blossom with no imperfections.

The day came however when the All Father came to the Lord and Lady and offered them the greatest gift any Elf could be honored with, the chance to never die but to ascend to the next world.

There was one addition if they accepted though. If they accepted this path they would be responsible to watch over the souls of the Elves for all time. Those who followed the life example as set by the Lord and Lady would also ascend to next world.

Without asking the Lord and Lady knew that the place in which they would exist would be the most beautiful place, a garden. There would be a huge waterfall of the purest water for them to gaze upon. The sky would be a perfect blue always. All around them would be nothing but the most perfect forms of natures animals, fruits, flowers, vegetables, herbs, and all else that Elves valued. While to many these may not sound like much, this is what the Elves had loved most upon the world they lived. For Elves this was and ideal place to live their lives.

The Lord and Lady were honored and accepted without hesitation for not only did they love their children of whom they would gladly watch over but they loved the All Father as much.

When the Lord and Lady went to tell their children there was great sadness and weeping from the many children for they could not imagine a life without the beloved Lord and Lady who were the source of every Elf alive. It was only because the All Father walked amongst the Elves that there had been no problems amongst any child for the thousands of years that the Elves had existed.
The Lord and Lady told their beloved children not to weep for this was not only the greatest honor bestowed upon any living Elf but it was to be a happy occasion. At this the Elves stopped weeping knowing their beloved parents were indeed correct, but their hearts were still heavy because they knew they would miss the Lord and Lady so much. It was then that an Elf approached the Lord and Lady, he bowed deeply and humbly and said “I am the son of a son of a son of a son of the Great Lord and Lady of all the Elves, may I ask a question?”
The Lord and Lady smiled with great love responding “Ask anything.”
The Elf then asked “Do you know what it will be like in the next world?”
Some of the Elves mumbled saying he should not have asked the question, but none could deny that all were curious. They wanted to know what would happen to their beloved Lord and Lady.

At this the Lady smiled gently knowing the question had been asked out of love and genuine concern. She looked around and speaking to all said “The next world looks as a garden in the Spring. The trees live lush and green as far as the eyes can see. Vines hang heavy with fruit and flora while from the ground runs a clear stream whose song is only competition to the beautiful birds that fly overhead. There is no want or pain nor sadness. From this place we shall watch all helping the All Father. For those who live well they too will ascend to this place and join us.

At these words tears flowed again but not out of sadness yet it was the happiness that overcame every child knowing the Lord and Lady were ascending to such beauty and glory and that there was a chance that one day they could see the beloved Lord and Lady again.

Then came to the Lord and Lady a group of Elvin women who had a request. One spoke for them saying “My great Lord and Lady we daughters of daughters of daughters of daughters of daughters of daughters of daughters would ask that you allow us to dress and prepare you for this great journey. That we, your children, also be allowed to say our goodbyes with a ceremony.”
This too was a great honor to the Lord and Lady that their children loved and revered them so much they asked this. It was agreed to this ceremonial preparation would come to pass so that everyone could be allowed to say their goodbyes.
The sons gathered a meal for all to eat, flowers to lay upon the tables and herbs for incense as well as to season the food. Daughters gathered and made dress robes of the finest silk of while. within these threads was the Elvin touch.

Well I have been talking over this past month with my wonderful husband about how isolated I feel because there really is no one to meet who is Elvin (in person). He had a great idea, look for a convention of like minded people! So I did but to no avail then he said so lets start one... (you see why I love him) SOOOOO we are going to work on pulling together over the next year a Elvin Convention!!!! Not a Tolkien one (love him) or anything fictional but a Kin Elvin Convention!!! We are going ... read more

I feel as though I just came out to the world here. As though a weight has been lifted from my shoulders because I posted for the fist time my memories of my Elvin life prior. And putting what I have of my scroll up for public reading is another big deal for me. I am going to keep updating it as I am adding to it daily. It really is amazing.

I have heard of this site many times over the years and now find myself here. I am hoping that this will be the place to find those who are Elves and connect. Sometimes I can not help but wonder if I am the only one left.
