Back when I was a wee tot in 1986, I hooked up with a bunch of characters who had a notion of starting a radio station (thanks Kakie!). It sounded like a great idea and since they were generally social misfits like myself, I decided that WRFL was the place to be. There were tons of cool folks to hang with, and party with and the HQ was a shitty basement of one of the buildings around the Paterson Wind Tunnel, I mean Office Tower. Fastforward to 1988 after multiple benefit shows, abministrative BS, and hair pulling, WRFL was a reality! I was lucky enough to be the 4th person on the air that day after Kakie, Mark, and Matt if I remember correctly. I was on the air for the next 10 years of so fairly regularly doing gneral shows and Dave's Hellride on Friday afternoon. I returned briefly in the late 90's to work with Matt on Big Hair Armaggedon.
